Role overview **WELCOME TO KFC**

Welcome to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Our world famous chicken restaurant brand all started with one cook, Colonel Harland Sanders, who created a finger lickin good recipe more than 75 years ago, a list of secret herbs and spices scratched out on the back of the door to his kitchen. He started travelling by car to different restaurants and cooked his fried chicken on the spot for restaurant owners. He did this at the age of 65. If the owner liked the chicken, they would enter into a handshake agreement to sell the Colonels chicken. Legend has it that Colonel Sanders heard 1009 Nos before he heard his first yes. The Colonels story still inspires us today. It reminds us how grit, perseverance, dedication and ambition along with hard work can create success; regardless of your age or where you come from.

As Restaurant General Manager (RGM) you are our Number 1 business leader. 92% of people who work for brand KFC are led by Restaurant General Managers all across the UK & Ireland. Well never take for granted the important role you play in leading our teams to deliver our world famous fried chicken to all of our fans. Our RGMs have a wealth of experience coming from a variety of backgrounds; from supermarkets, pubs, to high street retailers and even banks. But above all youre an authentic brand ambassador who cares about people and also happens to love our chicken and chips. As Restaurant General Manager youll help your team be their best selves through on the job training every day; Youll care about making a difference to each team members personal growth and development and supporting them on the right way to do things. **EVERY GUEST LEAVES HAPPY**

When it comes to the people who put food on our tables, we care hard about treating every guest like a friend in our home. Youll care about the things our guests care about which is: Tasty hot delicious food, served fast, with friendly service, making sure they get everything they ordered. Youll need to be bit of a clean freak too making sure the team are all over the cleaning schedules for the restaurant and dining areas (Oh. And this includes the bathrooms). Youll help train the team to be ready, willing and able to help our guests with any questions they may have when ordering at our digital touch screen kiosks; Youll be an expert in making it right for them if anything ever goes wrong and work with your management team to review guest feedback and make the experience better and better. And heres the truly fun part - you are empowered to use your imagination and help the team create feel good moments that bring a little joy to every visit.

**SHOW ME THE CHICKEN SALES!**

The Colonel had many jobs but first and foremost he was a chicken salesman. We love to sell chicken. In fact we believe every occasion is a potential fried chicken occasion. Youll work with your team and Area Coach to plan for every potential opportunity, always keeping your finger on the pulse of what is happening in your community and with the competition; youll always be thinking about what might help your team sell more of the Colonels good stuff: finding ways to improve operational standards and the guest experience. Your team will be clear on the sales goal for every shift and just as pumped as you are to smash those sales records, win incentives and keep the chicken wings flying.

*EXPERIENCE: Proven track record growing sales; decision making successes; commercial understanding.*

If youve dreamed of being a business entrepreneur then the experience doesnt get better than this. Youll roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the daily, weekly and monthly business reports for your restaurant working with your Area Coach to develop growth plans, really getting into the nitty gritty of what drives the profit after youve sold all of that good chicken. You will ensure good practice around all cash handling and in-store banking procedures. Youll have a strong understanding of how to control costs including people deployment and making sure were on target. Every job has got to have some admin - the admin part of your role will be making sure all daily paperwork is completed. Our chicken is too good to waste so taking care that teams prepare what is needed and keep waste to a minimum is helpful too. Lastly, making sure our restaurants are fully stocked is important, youll help by making sure that we keep an eye on stock levels, order the correct supplies, and coach your team to check all deliveries so that we never disappoint our fans by running out of their favourites.
