We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our software, hardware, and networks. You should be resourceful to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You must be comfortable in fast-paced environment with the highest standards of excellence. As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing server administration tasks including user/group administration, security
  • permissions, group policies, print services, researching event log warnings/errors, and resource monitoring to ensure system architecture components work together seamlessly
  • Monitoring datacenter health using pre-existing management tools and responding to hardware issues as they arise. Building, testing, and maintaining new servers as needed
  • Maintaining internal infrastructure requirements including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
  • Interacting with the helpdesk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identifying root cause, and providing support relating to the organization's computing environment in a timely, courteous, and professional manner
  • Maintaining disaster recovery and other data protection mechanisms to maintain a safe and productive computing environment
  • Performing routine, scheduled audits of all systems, including all backups
  • Educating end users and enforcing information technology policies and procedures tomaintain a productive and safe computing environment
  • Working in a team environment to help with overall program organization to ensure anefficient and effective program while supporting the agency’s goals and objectives
  • Maintaining relationships with external vendors and Managed Service Providers
  • Performing any other duties related to the organization's missions, goals, and operations

Education/ Requirements:

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline 
  • Professional IT certifications (i.e., MCSA, CCNA) preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and prioritize work to meet goals/deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and perform duties in a professional manner
  • Should be highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and carry out assignments to completion
  • Must possess the ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with employees, individuals served, families, and related professionals
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to travel to agency locations within Warwick and Coventry
  • Must have a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and a safe driving record
