    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    Discusses assigned teaching area with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts.
    Review lesson plans in assigned area as requested by classroom teacher.
    Prepares and develops various teaching aids.
    Presents subject matter to students, utilizing variety of best practices as directed by classroom teacher.
    Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
    Periodic progress monitoring.
    Responsible for own record keeping.
    Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    Ability to work independently.
    Proficient in the use of computers/technology in the teaching setting.
    Demonstrate basic knowledge of Special Ed. Disabilities areas (Desired)
    Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,
    skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    Education and/or Experience
    Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college.
    Paraprofessional Praxis Assessment Test
    Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear (in a quiet or noisy environment). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust/focus.
    Work Environment:
    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to moderate. Work is performed indoors although there will be required outdoor activities. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.
    Mental Functions:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate both orally and in writing in the English language, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, and compile and negotiate.
