The Director, Data Management is a critical role for Ken’s. The core objective of this role will be to actively support the processes and projects underway and planned to ensure the accuracy and consistency of master data. The role entails a strong involvement in analyzing and improving architectures and reporting tools, gathering the voice-of-customer from the business and executing the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally the creation of critical reports and supporting data models on a company wide level are part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the Ken’s Data Governance framework to ensure accurate and consistent data maintenance across the company.
• Investigate reasons for potential data issues and related alternative solutions
• Analyze, synthesize, and communicate data and issues into business language, meaningful and insightful messaging, and plans
• Disseminate best practices and standardization in Master Data Management across the company. Work closely with cross functional teams to establish processes, procedures and defined roles and responsibilities for master data management.
• Establish partnerships with Sales and Marketing, Operations, Finance, Customer Services, IT, R&D and other teams as necessary, transforming business issues into solutions and plans to resolve
• Collaborate with IT team on prioritized technical solutions and improvements understanding implementation plans to resolve and improve
• As we modernize the system landscape, will be the owner of the master data architecture. Opportunity to define and build as well as maintain in the future
• Liaise with IT and Business Teams/Data Stewards to drive accuracy and master data sources back to key systems of record wherever possible.
• Use metrics and analysis to hold Data Stewards accountable for their Data Quality responsibilities.
• Develop reports supporting functions and the business
• Review Data Quality rules as part of Data Governance to ensure the most appropriate and current business rules are observed and monitored
• Participate in meetings with, influence and guide Data Steward SME’s on best practice and CI methodologies
• Periodically review adherence to plan and business expectations
• Regularly review and update Process and Procedural documentation
• Design guidelines and training material for new reports / functionality / metrics
• Deliver training when required (train-the-trainer approach with Data Stewards)
• Manage processes, plans and projects assigned by senior management
• Provide updates and develops recommendation to senior management and all stakeholders through frequent communications of findings at regular intervals via reports and meetings

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification; 7 years of experience with DM activities including data cleaning, data reconciliation, and data review.

• CDMP, DGSP certifications a plus
