Cogents lead therapeutic candidate, bezuclastinib (CGT9486), is a precision kinase inhibitor designed to selectively and potently inhibit the KIT D816V mutation. This mutation is responsible for driving a rare and serious condition called Systemic Mastocytosis which can severely impact many different tissues and organs in the body. We are also studying CGT9486 to treat advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), which have a strong dependence on oncogenic KIT signaling. Our Team The Role: We are looking for a chemistry leader to help us build our research and discovery team at Cogent Biosciences. You will lead a small molecule drug discovery group from the bench while contributing intellectually across our research portfolio. PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and a minimum of 5 years industrial experience or MS/BS 10 years of experience

Expert knowledge of small molecule drug discovery principles and concepts

Have experience managing other medicinal chemists
