Position Overview
Kendra Scott is seeking an experienced and results-driven Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Lead to join our dynamic e-commerce team. The SEO Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing our Search Engine Optimization strategy to increase our online presence, drive SEO traffic, and improve our non-branded traffic conversion rates. This role requires a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to SEO, with a strong emphasis on collaboration with internal teams and external partners, to significantly impact our business goals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  1. SEO Strategy and Execution:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
    • Conduct keyword research, website audits, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
    • The ideal candidate will possess experience in Technical SEO, including a deep understanding of website architecture, crawling, and indexing issues, site speed optimization, and the implementation of structured data. Proficiency in conducting detailed technical site audits to identify and rectify SEO issues is preferred.
    • Implement on-page and off-page SEO tactics, including content optimization, link building, editorial content, and technical SEO improvements.
  2. Agency Partnership and Management:
    • Partner closely with our SEO agency to ensure strategies are effectively implemented and goals are met.
    • Manage local listings leveraging GMB, MOZ and agency partnerships.
    • Hold the agency accountable for performance, ensuring deliverables are timely, high-quality, and aligned with our SEO objectives.
  1. Content Gap Analysis:
    • Identify content gaps by analyzing market trends, competitor strategies, and search data.
    • Collaborate with the Web Merchandising team to develop and implement a content strategy that addresses identified gaps and enhances our non-branded traffic and conversion rates.
  2. Collaboration with SEM Team:
    • Work closely with the SEM (Search Engine Marketing) team to ensure a cohesive and effective overall search strategy.
    • Share insights and data between SEO and SEM initiatives to optimize search effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor and report on SEO performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement with traffic and conversion.
    • Stay updated on SEO trends and algorithm changes to ensure strategies remain effective and compliant.
Professional Qualifications:
Minimum
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of improving SEO performance and achieving growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated creativity and strategic thinking in solving SEO challenges.
  • Deep understanding of SEO principles, Google Analytics, and SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience managing SEO agencies, , with a focus on results-driven accountability.
Preferred
  • Technical proficiency with HTML/CSS and website administrations.
  • Leadership and project management skills to lead SEO projects and initiatives.
  • Familiarity with salesforce page designer or other CMS and e-commerce platforms.
  • SEO experience at luxury/lifestyle brand.
  • Knowledge of international SEO strategies.
