IMMEDIATE need for LPN/RN on day shift four days a week

LPN/RN Shift every other weekend day shift for Part-Time. Baylor pay available!

LPN/RN Shift needed on nights for Full-Time

Job Summary: Provides professional nursing care as determined by the needs of the resident and their plan of care, including but not limited to: dispensing medications, administering treatments, documentation, performing assessments and diagnosing health status problems of residents. Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assures quality of care by direct observation and resident visits to ensure nursing care plan followed and medications/treatments administered in accordance with MD/NP orders.
  • Timely and accurately administers medications and treatments within their scope of practice.
  • Orders medications from the pharmacy, keeping medication carts stocked and ready for the next shift's dispensing.
  • Performs focused evaluations of residents as needed to monitor health status, acute changes and appropriate care interventions.
  • Develops LNA staff by supervising nursing assistants and checking that documentation has been accurately done before the end of shift.
  • Ensures assignments are carried out and appropriate care is being rendered.
  • Communicates and works professionally with interdisciplinary team by contributing to resident care plans for assigned residents, reviewing new or revised orders for medications and treatments with appropriate staff and giving and receiving shift report.
  • Supplies information for MDS assessments through focused assessments and episodic care plans for residents as needed to monitor health status, acute changes and appropriate interventions.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with Answers on Demand, transcribing orders, generating care plans, completing ID notes and assessments and all functions of regulatory compliance as well as acting as a resource for other staff as needed.
  • Anticipates resident needs to minimize the use of call lights
