Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health invites applications for the position of Dietary Manager Located in Norfolk Virginia, Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is a leading community partner providing acute, residential, and Partial Hospitalization treatment for children and teens exhibiting behavioral and/or mental health concerns. The hospital is dedicated to providing high quality care to children, adolescents and their families. Founded in 1986, Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health is an 82-bed hospital facility accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and The Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). Position Scope:
activities of the Dietary Department to provide dietetic services to
patients as well as facility employees; is responsible for maintaining high
standards of quality food production and portion control, using creative
recipes; and, is responsible for appropriate quantities of food supplies.
The Dietary Manager is responsible for the general supervision of the
Dietary Department, including personnel, inventory and reporting.
Qualifications:
Employee must possess good verbal and written skills, skills in public
speaking and problem solving and excellent customer service skills.
Potential candidates must be able to work with young people who have
various degrees of disabilities. Strong organizational skills and
confidentiality are required. An individual must be able to perform each
Essential Function of the job satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations

Education:
Minimum of a High School Diploma from an accredited school.
Experience:
Prefer a minimum of two years experience in food services.
Knowledge:
Prefer a minimum of two years experience in food services. Knowledge
in the operation of kitchen equipment. Knowledge in food ordering and
storage. Knowledge of health requirements and the safe handling of
foods.
