Kellymoss Inc. is Hiring a Tire Technician (Transportation) Near Fitchburg, WI

Who You Are

  • Experience with Enerpac Wheel Straightener or similar equipment, preferred
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks
  • Strong organizational skills, an eye for detail and a sense of urgency
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand and execute on established work procedures
  • Team player: ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others
  • Possess a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds
  • Previous tire experience required

What You’ll Do

  • Balance wheels and tire assemblies
  • Prepare tires for installation; mounts and dismounts tires on wheels and fills tires to the proper air pressure
  • Operates and maintains diagnostic equipment, hand/power tools, tire changing machines, balancing equipment, and other specialized automotive tools and machinery
  • Examines damaged, defective, or flat tires to determine the extent of damage and the feasibility of repair; and recommends the disposal of non-repairable tires
  • Ability to repair damaged rims
  • Pre & post race event tire work and record keeping
  • Clean tires, trucks trailers, race cars and shop
  • Assist with loading and unload trucks and trailers before and after events
  • Perform minor repairs
  • General cleaning of building/shop area and outdoor maintenance
  • Report work status and special problems to manager in a timely fashion
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, coworkers, and other departments
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment
