Medical Office Receptionist – Internal Medicine Residency Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Medical Office Receptionist Work location: 1275 West Terrell Avenue, Suite 200, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Internal Medicine Residency Clinic Highlights:Be a part of our clinic that offers the opportunity to strengthen your skills by working with Internal Medicine Residents in a rewarding, educational environmentIf you thrive working in a fast-paced, multi-provider clinic and can handle multiple projects simultaneously, this is the place for you!Join our team members who have strong work ethic, positive attitudes, and support each other thru collaborative teamworkWe pride ourselves in being compassionate and empathic to our patients and teamHere’s What You NeedHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required)2-3 years Medical Office experience in a Clinical Setting (strongly preferred)Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)Multi-line Phone, Multi-Physician Medical Office experience (preferred)Knowledge of Commerical, Medicare, and Medicaid Insurance plans (preferred)Patient Registration (preferred)Insurance Prior Authorization and Referrals (preferred)Knowledge of EHR system, preferably EPICBe an outgoing individual with a friendly attitudeHave strong attention to detailBe able to multi-task front desk job responsibilities for a busy Family Practice/Internal Medicine ClinicMust have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skillsHave knowledge of insurance authorization/billing requirementsHave demonstrated strong customer service and communication skillsHave organizational and time management skillsBe proficient computer skillsHave knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirementsPossess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalismBe a team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentWhat You Will DoDelivers care to patients utilizing the Medical Office Receptionist ProcessUnder direct supervision, performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.Answers phone calls and directs them appropriately.Schedules appointments according to office guideline.Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.Copies/scans patient access related hard copy materials (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record.Prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete.Conducts all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments.Performs duties involving record filing and retrieval and assisting with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records.Confirms next day appointments and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment.Follows up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and sends out the appropriate communications.Performs other duties as assigned.Additional perks of being a Texas Health employeeBenefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program as well as several other benefits.Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth.Entity Highlights: Texas Health Physicians Group includes more than 1,000 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality, patient-safe care at more than 240 offices located throughout the DFW Metroplex.
