ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Established, independent wholesale food distributor specializing in fresh, quality conscious chicken, pork and beef supplier to theme parks, independent restaurants, national chain restaurants, other wholesale warehouses, grocery stores, meat markets, hotels, convention centers, convenience stores across central Florida.

Sales Activities: Continually develop and pursue a list of qualified new customer leads and prospects. Also maintaining relationships with existing, long-term customers. Meet with current and potential customers; understand customer needs and identify/propose product solutions. Follow-up with potential or current customers to develop new business opportunities. Work with customers and internal staff to accomplish the work needed to "close" sales. Work to resolve open issues and concerns. Participate in marketing events and activities as needed to support the attainment of business goals in the territory.

Administrative Activities: Provide accurate forecasts related to product quantities and revenue. Maintain and update appropriate information and sales support systems relative to account activity, pricing, etc. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information. Provide written and verbal updates on sales activity and competitive activity in the territory to management. Handle other projects and/or initiatives as needed.

• REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Prior protein sales experience a plus. Ability to build rapport quickly. Excellent communication skills, especially listening, questioning and presentation skills. Consultation skills; persuasive skills, analytical skills; able to evaluate a situation and outline a course of action; proven ability to understand the financial impact of options and decisions. Ability to work under a deadline Sense of urgency for your customers’ needs; proven ability to "close" a sale Demonstrated negotiation skills; proven organizational and planning skills Computer Literate-Word & Excel Results orientated High level of personal initiative, energy and ownership for success; a self-starter. Attitude, desire to learn, concern for fellow team members and work ethic are key to our culture!

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE : A minimum of 2 years of successful sales or retail market/foodservice experience required. Experience working with end user foodservice/chicken, pork or beef operators is a plus. Valid Driver's License and drug test required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
