Columbia law firm has an opening in its established tax controversy and tax litigation group for a CPA/Enrolled Agent. The firm represents individuals and businesses in complex civil and criminal tax cases. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of administrative practice before the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”), including preparing Offers in Compromise, IRS financial disclosure statements, administrative appeals, voluntary disclosures, and penalty abatement requests. This position requires excellent writing skills, the ability to work independently, and compliance with internal and external deadlines. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a full benefits package following completion of a 60-day probationary period.
