Keller Williams Realty Cares is Hiring a Vice President of Development Near Austin, TX

Job Summary:
The VP of Development will partner with the CEO and Board of Directors to further the mission of KW Cares by providing the strategic leadership, direction, and management for financial resource development. The VP ensures short and long term fundraising strategies are created and successfully implemented to build annual revenue as well as maintain KW Cares donor relationships and positive presence in the KW national and international community.

The VP would be a strategic thinker who is creative, collaborative, and highly organized with a deep passion for serving our KW families in times of need.

This position is responsible to inspire and facilitate a culture of philanthropy throughout the KW community and works in concert with many partners including the Board of Directors, CEO and KW Cares team, and relevant departments at KW.

The Experience You'll Need

  • Three years of experience as a fundraising manager/director/or VP of a non-profit organization
  • CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification strongly preferred
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and leadership. Demonstrated ability to show tenacity, flexibility and collaboration. Ability to drive results. Highly effective communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively and work well under pressure. Capable of working independently, while also engaging in collaboration between many
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain integrity and professionalism

The Impact You'll Make

Strategic Planning & Board Relations

  • Create and implement comprehensive annual and long term development plans collaboratively with the CEO and Board Fundraising Committee
  • Serve as staff liaison to the Board Fundraising Committee to generate and steward prospective and established KW Cares donors
  • Prepare and review monthly revenue variance analysis for Board Finance Committee
  • Ensure proper accounting and acknowledgement of gifts for financial reporting and audit purposes

Major Gift Cultivation and Stewardship

  • Create annual strategy and goals for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding new and existing major donors
  • Identify major gift prospects and manage cultivation and solicitation strategies with CEO, Board Directors, Fundraising Committee and other volunteers ensuring a minimum of 15 donor visits (in person or zoom) per month
  • Manage, grow and inspire participants in KW Cares “reoccurring donation program” through Command
  • Manage, grow and inspire participants in the employee deduction program within KWRI which support giving to KW Cares
  • Coordinate creative major gift acknowledgments and implement the donor stewardship plan. Ensure appropriate correspondence, communication and relationship management

Events and Campaigns

  • Determine and execute on annual event strategy and set goals in collaboration with the Board Fundraising Committee
  • Recruit, manage, and inspire volunteer event hosts and event committees
  • Coordinate and lead the execution of corporate presentations and donor engagement events
  • Implement end-of-year email campaigns and other year-round giving moments, such as National Non-Profit Day and Giving Tuesday

Pay: $139,065.00 - $154,394.00 per year
