Job Title: Shop Mechanic

Reporting Relationship(s):  Plant Manager

Job Summary: This position will be the Shop Mechanic.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

• troubleshoot electrical controls.
• light welding and repair capabilities
• plumbing repairs, water pumps, filters etc.
• pneumatic and cordless strapping equipment
• plastic extruder, heaters, vacuum system
• progressive cavity pumps
• air brakes
• oil changes
• greasing equipment
• bearings and oil seals
• electric motor changes/ servos/ encoders/ proximity sensors etc.
• electric and hydraulic shears
• water chillers
• compressed air systems
• power team portable pumps
• hydraulic cylinders and pt stressing equipment
• conveyor systems
• building maintenance
• sheaves, belts, chains, and sprockets

Qualifications

Background Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Experience).

Education:

Associates degree in electronics or mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in industrial maintenance equipment.
• Proficient in at least one of the flowing trade skills (electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, or pneumatics).
• Proven track record of ability to provide repairs and maintenance to all industrial equipment in the plant.

• Ability to meet fast paced and dynamic schedules and deadlines
• Must be well organized, self-motivated, reliable, detail oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal & customer relations skills.
