Keehi Lagoon Memorial is Hiring an Operations Manager Near Honolulu, HI

EMPLOYER

Ke'ehi Lagoon Memorial Park is a small, urban Honolulu park belonging to the State of Hawaii park system, managed independently by a 501c3 organization dedicated to helping veterans & youth-at-risk. Small staff consisting of 6 full-time people, including the Executive Director. Friendly, local-style Ohana workplace vibe. JOB SMMARY

The Operations Manager position is responsible to the park Executive Director for providing management services in support of the park facility/ground rental operations; park maintenance and repair activities; and park business administration requirements. The Operations Manager will also report to the park's Board of Directors, its officers and committees as needed.

PAY GRADE & BENEFITS

Salaried 50K w/ good benefits package including paid time off and employer contribution 401k. In even numbered years (2024), there is a 10% COLA bonus paid in December based on gross salary earned that year.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage park operations and report to the Executive Director
  • Manage financial operations
  • Supervise park personnel
  • Manage H.R. including payroll, and interface with Altres HR
  • Supervise and approve all scheduling
  • Supervise and approve all purchasing

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Light office help: visitor reception, and handling of phone and email inquiries.
  • Office Management: help as needed with correspondence, disposition and filing; copy, scanning and electronic mail support.
  • Assist Facilities Rental & Events Manager with facilities and grounds tours as needed.
  • Conduct routine banking business, including check preparation, banking deposits and statement review.
  • Oversee document filing and data management/archiving. Help establish and initiate best practices.
  • Other additional duties as may be directed by the Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS (REQUIRED, NO EXCEPTIONS)

  • Pro level QuickBooks Online, including payables, vendor and customer management.
  • Pro level Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel. Skill test required for Excel.
  • Understanding of basic double-entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Understanding of local area (office) networking, Wi-Fi, and email management.
  • Managerial Experience
  • Financial Reporting Experience
  • Supervising/Leadership Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (or GED).
  • 2 years of college or business school or equivalent work experience

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (DESIRABLE BUT NOT REQUIRED)

  • Familiarity with SharePoint
  • Familiarity with A.I., LLMs and Chatbots
  • Familiarity with Websites (WordPress)
  • Gardening or Landscaping skills, interest or experience
  • Facility or Venue management skills, interest or experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
