Keck School of Medicine is Hiring a Clinical Instructor of Medicine (Practitioner) Division of Hematology Near Los Angeles, CA

Job Announcement/Job Description:

The USC Keck School of Medicine, Division of Hematology is seeking a full-time inpatient Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join its team. Under the direction of a supervising physician the APP will perform therapeutic, preventive and health maintenance services, including but not limited to Bone Marrow Biopsies, and intra-thecal chemotherapy. Will obtain medical histories from patients with blood cancers and those undergoing bone marrow (stem cell) transplantation. Current and valid California State licenses, and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Preferred experience in acute care, BMT and clinical nursing.

Under general supervision and in accordance with standardized procedures, incumbent performs physical examinations and treats common episodic and chronic health care problems, counsels patients and families, monitors patient progress, assists with medical research projects. Works in collaboration with other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate, but

retains responsibility for ongoing clinical management of the patient.

The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
