ABOUT THE POSITION

The Health Policy and Data Analyst is responsible for using data and analysis to inform the development, implementation, and evaluation of health policies at the community clinic level. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the healthcare system, as well as experience in data analysis and policy research.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in ethnic studies, public health, psychology, health administration or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with data analytics in healthcare.
  • Ability to extract, analyze, and draw insights from the data in healthcare context.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in Microsoft, including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and any additional programs as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

POSITION DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Monitor federal and state health policy, including legislation, regulations, and guidance.
  • Analyze the impact of health policy on the community clinic and its patients.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that support the organization's mission and goals.
  • Represent the organization at meetings and conferences.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on health policy issues and quality improvement efforts to staff and community stakeholders.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data on the clinic's patients, programs, and services.
  • Use data to identify and address health disparities and inequities.
  • Develop and implement data-driven interventions to improve the health of the clinic's patients.
  • Collaborating with other departments to improve the clinic's data collection and analysis practices.
  • Collaborate with other staff to develop and implement agency wide initiatives.
  • Commitment to and skillset to operationalize social justice and health equity efforts.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed.

KCS is a vibrant non-profit organization addressing the well-being of vulnerable populations. KCS provides integrated community based social services, counseling, and healthcare. The Clinics provide primary care, dental care, complimentary medicine, psychiatry, and medication assisted treatment. The Community Services Division addresses social determinants of health. The Counseling Division provides mental health and criminal justice programs. A team of providers and clinicians, support staff, social workers, community outreach and patient navigators, immigrations rights advocates, counselors, program coordinators, health educators and recovery specialists work together towards KCS’ mission.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
