Position Summary:
Join our dynamic Legal Department as a Contract Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting contracts, ensuring compliance with corporate risk standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support various legal tasks to contribute to the seamless functioning of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, negotiate, and draft customer agreements.
Apply legal principles to various agreements, collaborating with attorneys as needed.
Manage the contract approval process, working with internal stakeholders.
Review commercial purchase orders and other various contract documents including change orders.
Assist with state and local licensing applications and renewals.
Coordinate insurance matters, including claims, certificates of insurance, and annual renewals.
Provide contract administration support, maintaining internal contract management systems and records.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in contract administration involving legal issues and negotiation.
Extensive knowledge of commercial terms and conditions, legal implications, and contract management.
Experience in the manufacturing industry or a working knowledge of related industries a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and Excel.
Contract database/management software experience is a plus.
Open to JD backgrounds, but not required.
