Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors
- Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes or concerns
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to ensure the well-being of individuals
- Provide assistance with senior care and dementia care as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in patient care or senior care preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
