Katz Yeshiva High School, a private Jewish high school in Boca Raton, Florida, offers a rigorous dual curriculum in Judaic and General Studies to a student body of 500.

We are currently recruiting for the position of High School Art Teacher for the 2024 2025 school year.

Committed to fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, and a passion for lifelong learning, KYHS is seeking a dynamic and innovative High School Art Teacher with an expertise in fine arts and an interest in Makerspace integration and digital design to join our team.

T he ideal candidate will inspire and educate students in various aspects of visual arts, incorporating the principles of art and design.

This individual should be passionate about teaching, committed to nurturing each student's artistic abilities, and proficient in integrating technology and traditional art mediums to foster creativity and critical thinking.

Responsibilities :

Teach 3-6 art and design classes that focus on the fundamental principles and techniques of various art forms, including drawing, painting, and sculpture while incorporating Makerspace tools and digital design software.

This role also includes supervising open studio time, fostering independent exploration of students in the Makerspace and leading both in school and after-school art clubs.

Oversee art inventory and organization of supplies in the Makerspace.

Collaborate with colleagues to incorporate art, Makerspace activities, and digital design across the curriculum.

Work with the Student Activities Team to integrate art into student programming and oversee KYHS Literary / Creative Art Publication.

Curate departmental displays and maintain engaging bulletin boards in hallways.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or related field.

Previous experience teaching art at the high school level, with expertise in Makerspace integration and digital design.

Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in various art mediums and techniques, as well as experience with Makerspace tools, digital design software, and graphic design principles.
