Job Description:


SUMMARY

The Project Manager Lead will provide logistical support and small package services to facilitate the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) Logistics Management Office (LMO). The Project Manager will work with the Government, Katmai employees and ERDC LMO employees to ensure contract support is fully integrated and contract deliverables are being met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, develops, coordinates, and implements processes and procedures of the USACE ERDC LMO contract as outlined by the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
  • Ensures GSA vehicle inspections are done in accordance with PWS and delivery timelines.
  • Oversees Receiving and Distribution Services, Central Turn-In and Disposal Services, Refueling Services, Shuttle Driver, and Lab Logistical Support.
  • Plans, develops, and implements project needs and assessments to forecast USACE ERDC LMO directives and policies.
  • Serves as the voice and representation of Katmai to the Government.
  • Responsible for the safety of all personnel and property.
  • Ensures all employees are properly trained on equipment and all certifications are current and on file.
  • Ensures all employees are properly trained on personal protective equipment and that it is properly worn.
  • Ensures all timecards are accurate and approved in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all schedules are current and accurate for the distribution of all in-coming and out-going deliverables.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Other duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees staff and projects/deliverables according to the PWS.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in an office and warehouse setting. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities.

WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week. May be required to work overtime hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school.
  • Relevant experience working in a leadership role on the USACE ERDC LMO contract.
  • Army Logistics support experience preferred.
  • Experience with automated inventory management systems preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

SPECIAL SKILLS

  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Must have an intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized and flexible.
  • Ability to interact with a wide variety of staff.
  • Ability to deal with classified information.
  • Ability to reason and analyze problems and working on solutions.

TRAVEL

Up to 5% travel required.

DRIVING REQUIREMENT

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy.

Driving may be required when traveling and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is 25-50%.
