Shifts: Monday-Friday 6 am-6 pm (Rotating 3 Days On/4 Days Off)

Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.00/Hour

Overview:

The Non-Emergency Dispatcher & Office Admin will own all aspects of the transactional logistics schedule and office responsibilities for their assigned territory. They will be a key decision maker in determining which transportation means is optimal for both cost and time efficiency. This position will have a direct impact on key performance metrics such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, office management, and team planning.

A successful candidate will adhere to all safety policies, and relevant state and regional laws and regulations. The role will maintain excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries, and strive for high customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of work experience, preferably in a dispatcher role or similar environment
  • A proven work history of good attendance is a must
  • Some experience in scheduling, route planning, and optimization
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or other contact management platforms (RouteGenie)
  • MS Office/Excel/Word/Outlook experience
  • Experience working directly with customers by phone and email
  • Strong customer service orientation, active listening, excellent oral/written communication
  • Tech Savvy
  • Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience applying creativity to problem-solving
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating pickup and drop-off times and optimizing routes for efficiency and timely arrivals. In doing this, you will assign routes with consideration of availability, proximity, and customer requirements.
  • You may be the primary point of contact for customers and drivers regarding handling any issue that may arise involving the drivers or customers, so phone etiquette and customer service skills are important.
  • Effective communication is important, as you will need to provide drivers and clients with any updates or changes in their schedules or pick-up times.
  • Basic computer skills are important, as you will utilize software for scheduling and dispatching the trips on a daily as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Problem-solving skills are also important as you will encounter various scheduling changes throughout the day, and these will need to be managed as efficiently as possible to continue to guarantee our customers excellent service.
  • The ability to participate in teamwork is important also when the need may arise to provide support or assist co-workers who work directly with you.
  • Assist the area manager with daily tasks which may include but are not limited to data entry in our electronic record-keeping system.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
