About The Role
The Insurance and Risk Management Analyst assesses potential risks to property, persons, and financial loss and determines if these risks can be avoided. You will manage the purchase of levels of insurance to protect Kaseya from loss related to unexpected or unintended events, and coordinates claim activity. You will report directly to the Vice President, Finance Processes & Systems

Responsibilities

• Ensure receipt of quotes, certificates of insurance, policies, endorsements, and binders.
• Be the liaison to brokers and evaluate broker performance together with Finance, Legal, and other internal functional departments and Third-party Administrators
• Determine/understand how self-funded casualty claims impact our P&L, B/S, Cash, and Liquidity positions
• Oversee actuarial projections and claims reviews to ensure the adequacy of balance sheet reserves for self-insurance
• Identify and assess risk hazards, including best practices for reducing workplace risks and cost
• Coordinate the gathering of data for renewals and other insurance-related processes
• Develop pro forma insurance premium/expense budgets and forecasts
• Process/procure certificates of insurance as required
• Organize purchase of insurance policies to protect us from risk
• Develop insurance risk management strategies for the Company based on past approaches and industry best practices
• Require annual stewardship reporting of essential insurance carrier and broker client service teams
• Stay up to date on industry trends.
• Evaluate, broaden and maintain the Company’s ERM program and initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• 5 years of insurance and related risk management experience
• Experience working in technology space a plus
• Advanced knowledge of commercial policies, claims processes, and underwriting to manage an insurance program with experience in insurance program design
• Experience leading project team meetings and managing project timelines
• Experience working with third-party providers on insurance and risk management solutions
• Proficient in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word, PowerPoint, and the Internet
• Experience with data modeling preferred
