Duties and Responsibilities

· Design Cabinets, Furniture, and Architectural Doors using 3D CAD Modeling.

· Assist in product development

· Estimating, Purchasing and procurement of Materials

· Work collaboratively with design and production team, giving and receiving feedback constructively and making changes as necessary

· Effectively communicate and explain design ideas, including concept, style, joinery, and material using digital or hand sketching and physical prototypes

· Keep up with design trends and styles for interiors, furniture, and other relevant areas

· Create technical drawings, instructions, and CNC programs for the Production team

· Observe and receive hands on training in woodworking to learn manufacturing process and how to safely operate machinery and utilize that knowledge while designing

· Bring fresh ideas, interesting skills, and an optimistic attitude to help launch the company to new heights

Experience and Education

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or similar field (preferred)

· Proficiency with office suite

· Cabinet/Millwork Industry experience (2yrs. Preferred)

· Excellent product ideation and digital or hand sketching abilities

· Working knowledge of Microvellum, Autodesk Fusion360 or similar CAD program

· Strong knowledge of CNC machining 3,4, and 5 Axis (Required)

· Excellent understanding of aesthetic, style, and the design process

· Strong 2D skills including sketching, vector artwork, and technical drawing/drafting

· Strong 3D skills including scale models, prototypes, and proofs of concepts

· Basic knowledge of woodworking or manufacturing (preferred)

· Basic knowledge of blueprints and architectural drawings (preferred)

· Strong knowledge of Parametric design (preferred)

· Familiarity with ERP software such as Innergy (preferred)

· Strong math and geometry skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects at once

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
