We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Purchasing Assistant who will perform a variety of routine purchasing support data entry functions requiring basic knowledge of purchasing/procurement and ERP systems.

Purchasing Duties:

· Verify items and quantities on purchase orders and transfer orders and receive/bill

· Generate purchase orders

· Submit purchase orders correctly and effectively

· Ability to quickly place orders with our vendors

· Assist with invoicing Purchase Orders

· Coordinate and create warehouse-to-warehouse transfers

· Adjust inventory

· Resolve inventory discrepancies

Accounting Duties:

· Process vendor invoices

· Match purchase orders with invoices

· Research and correct invoice discrepancies when needed

· Process credits

· Assist with related special projects, reports as required

Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, other purchasing/accounting-related assignments/tasks

Qualifications

· Excellent math and analytical skills

· Accuracy is a must

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment

· Strong attention to details and highly organized

· Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance

· Ability to work independently and with a team

· Professional oral and written communication skills

· Must be highly proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook

· General office environment requiring ability to sit and be in front of a computer screen for an extended period of time

Requirements

Must have AA degree (BA/BS degree a plus)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
