Position Description:Grief Support Specialist reports to the Director of Grief Programs. This position is responsible

for duties which support the services at Solace House to include in person and telephone

communication with the public, grief support, group management, and administrative billing

services.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children and adults in a service agency or private practice.
  • Knowledge of grief support theories and best practices.
  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work preferred
  • Ability to calmly communicate with individuals who are under stress or in crisis
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Knowledge of Google docs, sheets, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel helpful. IT competent.
  • Good phone and public communication etiquette.
