Kansas City Embassy Suites is Hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Near Kansas, MO

Hotel: Kansas City Embassy Suites Part-Time Security Officer Part time Atrium SPIRIT – where teamwork, passion and appreciation ignite service excellence Shift: 7:00pm - 3:00am Friday & Saturday Primary Purpose: The primary purpose of the Security Guard is to ensure the safety of the guests, associates and property. Work Performed: The Security Guard will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments: Ensure the safety of guests, associates, and hotel property always; Perform security patrols throughout all areas of the hotel and grounds; Enforce hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a courteous, tactful and helpful demeanor; Respond immediately to emergency incidents and security requests (and escalates per protocol as appropriate); Create reports on all activities during each shift; Draft incident reports; Monitor associates entering and leaving the hotel; Collect packages received by property and inspects parcels taken from the property; Monitor the back entrance and receiving dock; Checks all personnel entering and provides information and direction upon proper identification of all job applicants, salesmen, etc.; De-escalate situations between associates and/or guests; Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management and Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position. Qualifications: Former/ Current Military or Law Enforcement preferred Preferred Prior Experience: 2 Years Loss Prevention experience Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Required Licenses/ Certification: Certified in CPR and First Aid or obtain certification within 30 days of hire. Physical: Complete mobility; it may be necessary to carry people or emergency equipment Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds on occasion Ability to bend and squat repeatedly Ability to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift Other: Flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. __________________________________________________ When you’re an Atrium Associate, you’re a part of a crucial workforce providing the ultimate ‘Home Away From Home’ for our guests.
