Kansas City Canine Orthopedics is currently seeking Full-Time Veterinary Receptionists (Pet Care Coordinators). This position requires superb communication skills when interacting with co-workers and clients alike. Candidates must be dedicated team players, self-starters, and thrive in a busy environment. Friendly, dedicated, detail, and service-oriented problem solvers will find this position very rewarding. Duties include greeting clients and pets, answering phones, processing payments, and managing medical records. Clerical skills such as typing and navigating veterinary soft-ware programs and common computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. are required. Training will be provided for veterinary specific software programs. Coordinators will interact daily with the surgeons, technicians, assistants, hospital manager(s), clientele, and the pets!!

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include:

· Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners in a warm and timely manner, both in person and over the phone

· Schedule appointments, assist with record keeping and organization, provide estimates and invoices for payment

· Respond to pet owners with compassion and empathy in stressful and emotional situations.

· Maintain a clean and orderly lobby and front office area

· Willingness to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members

· Constantly advance your knowledge base and customer service skills

· Maintain reliable and predictable attendance

· Perform other tasks assigned by management

Skills and Qualifications:

· 1 years' experience in veterinary or medical practice required

· Excellent communication skills with clients and team members

· Proficient time management, ability to problem solve, learn, and handle multiple tasks

· Enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.

· Computer experience and proficiency required (email usage, word/excel, operation of office equipment such as printer / scanner).

· Must possess basic math skills to determine proper deposits, make change, and process payments utilizing credit card and check terminal

· Must be able to work seated for a majority of day

· Must be able to interact with and be around all pets that we provide care to
