The Lead Inspector is responsible for executing and maintaining the KNA Mechanical Integrity (MI) program for fixed equipment.Major responsibilities for the Lead Inspector include but are not limited to the following:
*Work safely by following all Company policies, procedures, and expectations.*Develop inspection and test plans for plant equipment, including pressure vessels, fired boilers, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and piping.*Track, forecast, and communicate all inspection tasks to Production and Maintenance. This position is responsible for inspection compliance.*Inspect/examine equipment per applicable RAGAGEPs in accordance with ASME, NBIC, API 510, 570 and 653 standards.*Documentandtransmitinspectionresults,makingrecommendationsasappropriatefor repair/upgrade/retirement of equipment.*Manage inspection data and frequency dates in systems such as SAP, PCMS IDMS, MS Excel, and equipment files.*Provide QA/QC functions within the Maintenance department.*Define and approve repairs to service equipment, per RAGAGEPs, potentially including audit and evaluation of contracted repair organizations, and inspection of repair work.*Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and incident investigations related to equipment failures.*Direct and coordinate the work of contract inspectors/examiners, including audit and evaluation.*Work with jurisdictional inspectors to ensure local requirements are met.*Manage inspection and repair documentation, potentially including NDE procedures, welding procedures and inspection plans.*Report monthly inspection KPIs.*Must demonstrate the following emotional intelligence skills:

Maintain complete and open lines of communication with other personnel, functions, or departments to facilitate operations and interaction in the organization.

Fulfill mandatory training requirements applicable for department and job duties as appropriate.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management.
