Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team. As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process by operating and maintaining machinery used in the pallet manufacturing process. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety to ensure efficient and high-quality production. This position starts hourly with the potential to move into a piece-rate pay structure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor machinery used in the pallet production process
• Follow production schedules and instructions to ensure timely completion of orders
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery to identify any issues or malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed
• Monitor the quality of finished products, making adjustments to machinery settings as necessary to maintain product specifications
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of materials and tools
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot problems and optimize production processes
• Keep accurate records of production output, machine maintenance, and any incidents or issues that arise during operations
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains to enhance productivity and reduce waste
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and plant management to enhance overall plant efficiency

Qualifications/Skills:

• Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery for extended periods
• Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
