Overview We’re looking for a sharp, Agile-focused Business Analyst who will serve as a dedicated and disciplined team member ensuring all team members are committed to Agile processes and timelines. You will do so by effectively applying, implementing, and enforcing Scrum principles and practices. The Business Analyst will also help protect the team from outside influences, which could otherwise interfere with the team's ability to deliver value in a short time-box (iteration). Other Responsibilities (but not be limited to) • Formation and definition of project scope and objectives based on user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. • Develops understanding of business needs of multiple stakeholders or product owner through a variety of elicitation techniques. • Facilitates the negotiation of requirements amongst stakeholders or product owner. • Helps business stakeholders envision how their processes will change with implementation of solution. • Builds requirements to accurately and thoroughly capture business needs or ensures user stories are concise and complete. • Builds and updates system requirements specification documents or other requirements related artifacts. • Able to interact with technical staff and work collaboratively to define technical solutions to solve business needs. • Able to perform responsibilities using Agile Scrum or DevSecOps software development methodologies. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree with experience in a related Information Technology field • Must have Agile Scrum experience, methodologies, and tools with preference to Certified Scrum Master • Must have experience in conducting daily stand-up meetings, planning and review sessions, prioritize tasks and mitigate road-blocks • Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps; use of Microsoft Azure DevOps tool • Experience in developing requirements and technical documents • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Able to take initiative, manage own workload, and assume responsibility for tasks • Able to multi-task, handle multiple projects, and meet internal and client deadlines • Proactively seeks opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes • Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization Agile process life cycle • Experience with User Interface designs and mockups • Previous experience working with federal government clients is highly desirable Required Clearance • Must be US Citizen and have at least an active US government Secret-level security clearance KCI is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
