• Create a welcoming and soothing environment for every patient
• Treatment room preparation and turn-over
• Sterilize dental instruments properly
• Conduct initial mouth screenings, check oral health history and review medical history at each appointment
• Periodontal charting
• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries and periodontitis
• Complete dental prophylaxis and scaling/root planing, apply fluoride and sealants
• Educate patients of all ages on proper oral care
• Give instructions to patients after dental procedures
• Take digital X-rays, intra-oral photos and digital wellness scans
• Assist dentist with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
• Practice promotion

Requirements

• Texas RDH license
• Independent, organized, reliable, self-starter
• Attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain professional, positive, and calm
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
• Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
• CPR Certified
• Comfortable placing sealants​
• Dentrix, N20 certification and comfortable using a scanner is a PLUS!
• One year of experience is preferred but open to any level of experience for the right candidate!
