Job Summary:

As the Catering and Events Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of events and catering orders. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and then coordinate with appropriate management and staff to ensure that everything to ensure the event runs smoothly from start to finish.

Key responsibilities:

· Main point of contact for all catering / event inquires

. Ensures all inquiries are responded to within a timely manner

. Maintain integrity of look and style of marketing and communications

· Maintain catering/events calendar to ensure we can accommodate parties before accepting deposit

. Ensure there are no double bookings

• Completing meticulous tasks and negotiating pricing
• Preparation and planning of the venue for the events
• Including menus, equipment, food, services and staffing
• This is inclusive of schedule organization and ensuring proper event staffing
• Must be aware of all schedules to pre-discuss upcoming events in timely manner
• Communicating effectively with clients, staff, and third party vendors
• Deadlines for when holiday promotions should be complete and shared with others (1 month prior)
• Ensuring inventory needed for any events/catering is communicated with restaurant managers/cooks
• At least 1 week prior
• Ensure catering needs and supplies are fully supplies for both in-house and out-of-house events
• The catering manager facilitates the arrangements of seating, the serving of food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness of tables.
• Catering Needs, expenses, and accurate records will be kept and organized

o Managing inventory orders and ensuring orders submit to managers by the time inventory is due for that week

• Adhere and facilities the needs of the food and health industry safety regulation and standards.
• Consults with clients/customers and determines catering options based on the clients needs.
• Prepares, tracks and manages required catering forms
• Creating and maintaining proposal packets

• Ensure client is not editable versions

Responsible for marketing of services and Upcoming Events

Qualifications:

· A professional demeanor and ability to stay calm under pressure

· Experience with creating and maintaining budgets

· A proven track or aptitude for customer service

This position is a full-time position and requires 40 hours/week of committed time Monday thru Friday. This job can use “Flex” time on an as needed basis. The idea of flex time is to allow for you to have more control of your schedule and allows you the freedom of choosing your start and finish time. Each week will vary based on upcoming events/catering orders that require onsite assistance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
