JOB DESCRIPTION
Objective
The mechanical engineer internship will include activities for the implementation and maintenance of engineering projects.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Must have familiarity with CAD software (CREO preferred) to modify and create drawings. Must have strong literacy with Microsoft Office suite. Being able to effectively communicate with co-workers is required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is available to accommodate course schedule, but the agreed upon hours should be met during the “core” work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Required Education and Experience
1.Must be working toward a B.S. degree in Engineering or Design
2.Strong mechanical design aptitude
3.Strong literacy with Microsoft Office suite

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
