SUMMARY: The Assistant Controller is primary responsible for supporting the Plant Controller. The position will interact with management, sales and operations and provide support for the achievement of business objectives and growth initiatives. This position reports to the Plant Controller.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Demonstrate effective human relations techniques to employees.
• Utilize data and tools to effectively communication needs and expectations.

• Knowledge of Cost Accounting fundamentals and analysis.
• Ability to define problems, to collect data to establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to use discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
• Assist controller in regulations, financial policies and procedures
• Demonstrate the ability to implement creative solutions while working under pressure.
• Ability to use technology to solve business problems.
• Budgeting and Forecasting.
• Maintain General ledger.
• Monthly workpapers and other financial schedules.
• Support Audit requests.
• Support Production Control.
• Manage and support IT initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Maintain compliance of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.

Follows all safety, housekeeping and company policies and procedures.

Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred. Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access. Knowledge of SAP, AS/400 and Mainframe systems preferred. Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail orientated and interpersonal skills. Strong communication and leadership skills. High Integrity.
