Juvenile Justice Center of Philadelphia is Hiring an IBHS Behavior Consultant Near Philadelphia, PA

IBHS Behavior Consultant

JJC’s Behavior Health program provides psychiatric and psychological supportive services, evaluations, therapy and behavioral rehabilitative services to children and adolescents living within the Philadelphia County. Providing an array of therapeutic interventions and implementation of trauma informed evidenced based models of therapeutic practice we assist children with signs and symptoms of depression, severe trauma, post-traumatic stress, Autism, and other emotional or behavioral diagnoses.

We are looking for an Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) Behavior Consultant to join our team of professionals to help enable children with emotional and behavioral needs to thrive. Work will be conducted primarily in the Juniata Park/Feltonville, and Fairhill sections of Philadelphia, PA.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be responsible for performing assessments of a child, youth or young adult’s needs and the development of an individualized treatment plan (ITP). The BC plays a pivotal role in being a community support for the youth in our program, but this also extends to their families and in the classroom by being an advocate within their schools. The BC's goal is to provide a positive impact on behavior for our impacted youth and they do this by being a team leader and coaching modeled behavior. The BC also coordinates and consults with other service providers regarding behavior plans and interventions and discussion with the impacted youth within the program. The BCmay be supervising the behavioral technicians.

Qualified candidates for this position must;

- Be a licensed behavior specialist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, however, can accept non-licensed.

- Must have a Functional Behavior Analysis (FBA) certificate.

- Have a Master Degree in one of the following; Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education with Counseling, Human Services Counseling or related field with 12 clinical credit hours.

- Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education.

- Have the ability to provide a clear Criminal background check, child sex abuse check, ACT 31/126 clearance, physical, and FBI fingerprint

The position is fee-for-service (FFS). With a minimum requirement of 4 cases. Independent work environment.
