Juniper Seeks General Manager 
Juniper is a seasonal American restaurant located in The Vanderbilt hotel and residence in Westbury, Long Island.
Juniper's menu highlights Long Island's bounty of produce, meat and fish, with a focus on steaks, American wine and a robust cocktail program. 

We are looking for a business-minded, professional, and passionate candidate with a solid background in restaurant management. Ensuring efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintaining high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards are critical elements of this position. The ideal candidate will help to create a supportive environment that encourages and motivates members of staff in a positive way. Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Front of the House restaurant operations
• Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
• Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
• Organize and supervise shifts
• Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
• Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
• Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
• Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Front of House Manager, Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
• Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with strong wine knowledge needed to act as a sommelier
• Knowledge of POS and reservations systems
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
• BS degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
