Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties.
- Perform regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions.
- Adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions and seasonal changes.
- Troubleshoot and repair valves, pipes, sprinkler heads, and other components of the irrigation system.
- Collaborate with landscape designers and contractors to ensure proper installation and functionality of irrigation systems.
- Operate power tools and hand tools to excavate trenches and install irrigation lines.
- Monitor water usage and ensure efficient water distribution for optimal plant health.
- Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to existing irrigation systems.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Irrigation Technician or similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair irrigation system components.
- Knowledge of garden and landscape maintenance practices.
- Ability to dig trenches, install irrigation lines, and build irrigation system infrastructure.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in irrigation system installation and maintenance.
- Understanding of proper watering techniques to promote healthy plant growth.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
