Juniper Landscaping of Florida LLC is Hiring an Agronomy Manager Near Fort Myers, FL

Juniper is Growing! We are seeking an Agronomy Manager for our Landscape Maintenance team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the agronomy program for our landscape properties to include scheduling services, supervising team members, and managing the resources needed for providing the agronomic needs for our clients’ properties. The Agronomy Manager is responsible for adhering to established budgets, ensuring successful operations, maintaining quality control, and promoting a positive culture focused on safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand client and property needs via regular communication with the Account Manager(s)
  • Oversee and schedule the Agronomy Technicians
  • Responsible for providing day-to-day operational scheduling and guidance for branch's agronomy services
  • Manage the coordination of all materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors required to produce quality work
  • Communicate with, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plan for employees
  • Training and support of agronomy team members, including proper operation of equipment, IPM and fertilization techniques and best practices, safety guidelines, and quality standards
  • Focus on safety and monitor safety records, complete regular safety meetings with team
  • Maintain all records necessary for compliance and maintain chemical application records
  • Keep current with laws that affect spray applications
  • Purchase and maintain chemical inventory
  • Interviewing and hiring of team members; working with the Branch Manager to identify staffing needs
  • Performing hands-on work with the agronomy techs to meet work and scheduling demands as needed
  • Ensuring equipment and tools are properly maintained, stored, and utilized
  • Order materials and monitor costs and deliveries for agronomy services
  • Ability to create estimates for time & materials needed on agronomy projects
  • Maintain all required computer systems, including but not limited to timekeeping, job databases and service schedules for agronomy services
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with clients
  • Other relevant job duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of IPM/Agronomy experience
  • CPCO License
  • Experience managing other team members
  • Strong knowledge of turf and plant diseases and insects, able to identify and diagnose solutions
  • Strong knowledge of fertilization and plant health care
  • Knowledge of plant material and horticultural best practices
  • Customer service and client-focused
  • Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications including MS Office
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to clear Motor Vehicle Record check
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
  • Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
  • Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
