Job Description: Juniper & Ivy is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our team in delivering unparalleled hospitality and culinary excellence. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, guest satisfaction, and financial performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the front-of-house and back-of-house teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and accountability.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the dining floor, interacting with guests to ensure exceptional dining experiences and addressing any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction, including effective cost controls, menu engineering, and sales initiatives.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff members, setting clear performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure optimal product quality and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Cultivate relationships with local suppliers, community partners, and industry professionals to enhance the restaurant's reputation and visibility.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team to create seasonal menus, special events, and promotions that showcase the restaurant's culinary creativity and innovation.
  • Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures, including reservation management, point-of-sale systems, and employee scheduling.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in restaurant management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role at a fine dining establishment.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, cost control, and guest satisfaction in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional hospitality under pressure.
  • Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, culinary techniques, and hospitality industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and P&L management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • ServSafe certification and knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
