We use the sport of gymnastics and movement activities as a tool to successfully develop healthy happy children with positive self images..

As a director at Jump Start Plus you will play a vital role in providing a safe, fun, and educational experience for children. Your primary responsibility is to create an engaging and positive learning environment while teaching fundamental sports skills and fostering physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. You will be responsible for the development of children socially, physically, and emotionally to help them become happy and healthy kids! You will be responsible for building the program as well as the staff on your team to provide the best services to our customers and bring growth to the programs.

1. Lesson Plans:

  • Create and execute plans for all events
  • Demonstrate knowledge of our programs within planning activities
  • Monitor feedback for improvement
  • Ensure coaches are understanding and following plans

2. Communication:

  • Oversee training of employees working events
  • Complete documentation and reviews on employees within your program as required
  • Communicate with parents about event information, scheduling, and needs
  • Coordinate with staff in relation to staffing needs, events needs, and customer service needs
  • Host trainings as needed for the education for staff
  • Attend all required meetings

3. Set Up:

  • Ensure all props, activities, crafts, and supplies are ready and at the facility before events
  • Outline and organize event space to meet needs of the program
  • Staff accordingly based on needs to get the gym in order before families arrive

4. Parent Relations:

  • Establish a welcoming and approachable demeanor with parents.
  • Be available to address parent inquiries or concerns, maintaining a positive and supportive atmosphere within the gym.

5. Special Events:

  • Work the majority of events and be on call for staffing needs if you are not scheduled on an event
  • Track costs of all supplies to maintain profitability for each event
  • Work with marketing department in order to market events to clients
  • Bring fresh ideas to increase enrollments in events and market classes through events

Physical Requirements:

1. Lifting and Carrying:

- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.

- Safely transport materials and equipment within the workplace.

- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs on occasion.

2. Standing and Moving:

- Ability to stand and move for extended periods during the work shift.

- Navigate the workplace efficiently to perform job responsibilities effectively.

3. Physical Endurance:

- Demonstrate physical endurance and stamina to carry out demanding tasks throughout the workday.

- Perform physical activities required for the job, including but not limited to bending, reaching, climbing, and spotting.

4. Use of Equipment:

- Operate and handle equipment as required for the role.

- Understand and comply with safety protocols related to the use of workplace equipment.

Safety Guidelines:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent workplace accidents and ensure a secure working environment.

- Attend regular safety training sessions to stay updated on best practices and safety measures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
