Maintenance Mechanic - Naperville, IL

A leading Fortune 500 Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Naperville, IL plant. The Maintenance Mechanic will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of our facility. This position will contribute to our commitment to delivering top-quality products.

Compensation: $35.46/hr. A lot of Overtime.

Schedule: 2nd shift or 3rd shift is available currently. 

Overview:

Repair and replace defective parts and equipment using mechanical skills.

Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, or sketches.

Work with pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, drives, machining, some electrical knowledge, hand tools, and welding.

Operate forklifts, man lifts, ladders, and scaffolds.

Collaborate with electrical, boiler room, and/or operations personnel when necessary.

Participate in groups or teams to enhance equipment and process reliability and productivity.

Report work through a computerized maintenance system (SAP).

Support and participate in business initiatives such as HACCP, QCMS, etc.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Completed an approved apprenticeship or training.

At least 2 years of manufacturing experience in similar positions.

Ability to work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision.

Capability to work any shift, weekends, and holidays as required.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to practical solutions.

Knowledge and application of Continuous Improvement tools
