Salary: $120,000.00 USD Annually - $125,000.00 USD Annually
Description:

Continuous Improvement Specialist – $800 Million Manufacturing Company - Columbia, SC

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer who excels as a process manager, utilizing a diverse set of skills in project design, leadership, and management to drive performance and process development. In this role, you will apply Lean Six Sigma principles to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives and foster operational excellence, with a primary focus on the production floor of our manufacturing facility.

Compensation: $120,000 - $125,000 Discretionary Bonus 401k (50%) Match, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, PTO.

Primary Responsibilities:

Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings.

Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools.

Teach, lead, and coach cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology.

Collaborate with various functions such as logistics to enhance processes both on the production floor and in transactional areas.

Core Responsibilities:

Clearly define program objectives and scope.

Evaluate and prioritize potential improvements based on gains and required effort.

Secure employee commitment, including process managers, for proactive change management.

Establish clear and well-articulated implementation plans.

Define criteria for project success and prepare a sound statement of constraints/limiting factors.

Appropriately implement principles of governance.

Resolve technical problems, including formulation, equipment, product, interpretation of regulations, and resource availability.

Identify intervention priorities and indicators.

Conduct detailed analysis of the current situation, accurately describing the issues.

Specify deliverables, outcome indicators, and performance-measured indicators.

Identify available resources (e.g., people, material, finances).

Map out in detail the desired situation.

Clearly define the methodology.

Accurately analyze options, considering impact and feasibility.

Specify obstacles and propose ways to overcome them through continuous improvement.

Regularly monitor the implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.
