Overview:
Position Summary:
We are seeking an Administrative Reentry Workforce Coordinator to support individuals with Substance Use Disorder and Criminal Justice involvement in their journey towards reintegration into society. This role involves coordinating workforce development initiatives, aiding in recovery planning, and assisting individuals in readjusting to daily life. The Reentry Coordinator will work closely with the Special Programs Manager to provide administrative support for the program's participants.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical and personal support to individuals enrolled in the Reentry Workforce training program.
2. Provide individualized services for patients as they develop resumes and navigate employment platforms.
3. Respond promptly to individuals facing critical challenges affecting their program participation, health, or safety.
4. Develop and maintain knowledge of available programs and resources to better assist program participants.
5. Assist in managing program census and collaborate with program management to track and handle referrals.
6. Serve as a role model for program participants, demonstrating productive behavior and maintaining professionalism in interactions.
7. Offer coaching and demonstrate job duties and professional skills to program staff.
8. Maintain electronic health records to ensure accurate billing for services rendered.
9. Adhere to HIPAA standards and safeguard personally identifiable health information.
10. Participate in required training sessions and complete them successfully.
11. Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate program needs.
12. Represent The Jude House positively within the community by fostering relationships with residents, businesses, donors, and professionals interested in our programs.
13. Handle non-violent and non-contact crisis de-escalations effectively.
Required Qualifications:
1. Associate degree in a health or human services field, or equivalent training/experience.
2. Preferred certification as a Peer Support or Community Health worker.
3. One year of professional experience in Human Services preferred.
4. Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and understand various barriers to success.
7. Understanding of substance use recovery and/or severe mental health and wellness.
8. Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
9. Reliable transportation for commuting to work.
