Outpatient CPRS- Under the general supervision of the Outpatient Director, The Outpatient Certified Peer Recovery Specialist uses their own unique, life-altering experience to build rapport and to guide and support individuals who are in mental health or substance use crisis. Responsible for providing peer-to-peer support to individuals participating in outpatient treatment services by helping individuals engage in the process of change. Position involves meeting face-to-face with individuals who are seeking support with mental health and/or substance use related concerns as well as group facilitation. The Peer Recovery Specialist can provide a range of support from emotional support to full scale crisis de-escalation. This position is responsible for providing supportive services to help individuals regain a sense of safety, return to their normal level of functioning, and learn communication skills. Peer Recovery Specialist is responsible for providing excellent service to Jude House outpatient program by applying the equivalent of reflective listening and motivational interviewing skills. This position has the special training and skills to interact with our unique patient base, to understand patient’s ‘unique circumstances and needs, render immediate emotional support, and to advocate for them with the clinical team. The Peer Recovery Specialist is patient, knowledgeable, empathetic, and helpful.
Outpatient ADT- Under the general supervision of the Outpatient Director, the Outpatient ADT is responsible for providing professional clinical services to behavioral health patients in outpatient settings. The services may include counseling, education, role modeling, and empathetic support for patients with substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders. implement applicable treatment protocols, emergency plans/safety practices, health service policies and procedures with assigned patients with substance use disorder in accordance with requirements of the Maryland Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors and Therapists.
