Freelance Art Director

Hello! Jubilee is looking for a creative Art Director to lead design for our brand new nectar app! This person will partner with our Product and Marketing teams to create an app that is bold, intuitive, and visually exciting. The ideal candidate is a master of design that has a fresh artistic vision and is confident in leading the design process for digital products from ideation to execution!

The Job

The Art Director will forge and lead the design processes for our nectar app! In this role, you’ll leverage your design background, knowledge of design systems, along with your understanding of a Gen Z audience to create sleek and appealing app visuals, typography, and animations. You’ll work with our amazing Product team to build design guidelines and structure for nectar, ultimately ensuring that our users have a unique and positive app experience! 

What you’ll do:

• Partner with our Product and Marketing teams on the development of a visually savvy, seamless, and intuitive mobile app
• Forge the art and design direction of our nectar app, and collaborate with our key stakeholders to define and implement innovative solutions for our nectar visuals and app experience
• Establish design systems, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity screens to facilitate an efficient product development process
• Provide strategic thinking and leadership
• Design, build, test, release, and QA app design
• Maintain consistent and comprehensive nectar aesthetic across the development of the nectar app

Who you are:

• 6 years of digital design experience (apps, websites, etc.)
• Proven experience building design systems within digital products
• Demonstrated experience integrating and deploying those design systems
• Have a high bar for excellence - Skilled graphic designer with a strong understanding of typography, intuitive layouts and palate development.
• A strong understanding of a Gen Z audience and what they value in visual design
• Comfortable owning processes and implementing changes to create the best product
• Have a strong portfolio of demonstrated digital design work 
• Proficient in Figma and Adobe
• A creative problem solver - solution oriented
• Highly collaborative and communicative
