JT Wimsatt serves both public and private sector clients with a range of commercial, industrial, residential, government and specialty projects. Our portfolio includes parking structures, hospitals, educational facilities, hotels, office buildings, high-rise residential projects, shopping centers, and military projects. We serve our clients from our corporate headquarters in Valencia, CA and our regional office in San Diego, CA. Our primary service area is Southern California; however, we work throughout the West Coast and including California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada.

We are looking for entry level detailer/3D modelers who are interested in concrete construction. This position requires the ability to learn quickly and be able to review construction drawings and documents, create drawings based on the Architectural and Structural drawings for use by field crews. The ability to use Revit, Tekla Structures and other 3D software is necessary. We are willing to train regarding our business and work so long as the applicant brings strong knowledge of the applications listed below.

• Comprehensive AutoCAD knowledge
• Blueprint and plan reading ability
• Revit 3D modeling experience
• Bluebeam
• Plangrid
• Trimble Total Station is a plus
• Tekla Structures or Tekla Concrete Contractor is a plus
• Model workflow for coordination and planning
• Scanning for use in modeling and analysis

• Ability to manage time
• Ability to switch between tasks
• Keep track of many different projects at the same time
• High level of attention to detail
• Desire to learn concrete construction and detailing
• Communicate and work with a team at a high level
• Attend job site meetings to review drawings
• Degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred but not required.
