JPMorgan Chase is Hiring a VP Product Manager New Payment Rails & Networks Near New York, NY

Join the New Payment Rails & Networks team to help shape the future of payments! As part of this role, you will define strategy and product vision, influence design and development of modern payment solutions.

As a Product Manager on the New Payment Rails & Networks team, you will have an exciting opportunity to build innovative payments solutions for Chase customers. Your priorities will span across Real-Time Payments, Pay By Bank, Cross Border, Central Bank Digital Currency, data aggregation, overlay and value added services such as fraud and risk services, tokens, and more. Partnering with Payments leadership, your main goal will be to facilitate simple, safe, and secure money movement. 

Job responsibilities: 

  • Drive product strategy to align with the overall NPR vision and support tactical planning: extract insights from data analyses and research to inform business and strategic decisions; perform business casing, forecasting, and go-to-market planning.
  • Closely collaborate with JPMC stakeholders to identify and prioritize delivery of new capabilities that drive a differentiated customer experience and address customer pain points, needs, and desires to send real-time payments. Internal stakeholders include strategy, design, research, product, analytics, risk, legal, controls and technology.
  • Identify and communicate aspects of each rail and network that should be consistent or different, as well as the opportunities and risks for each.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of customer needs, behaviors, and pain points, as well as competitive landscape and industry best practices.
  • Lead end-to-end product development process including defining requirements based on customer research and establishing risk-mitigating controls with legal and compliance partners, collaborate with execution teams to ensure end-to-end delivery of product features. 
  • Partner with NPR delivery and Work with cross-functional partners (e.g., finance, legal, risk) to develop financial business cases and ensure product controls, compliance, and risk environment. Manage existing planned roadmap items (Real-time payments) and communicate defined and prioritized requirements
  • Partner closely with Strategy and Go to Market Lead to ingest pipeline of requirements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 7 years of experience in strategy, consulting and/or product and ideally payments experience
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to present fact-based recommendations in a clear, logical, and concise way: "tell a story" 
  • Self-starter; effectively solves problems and shares ideas for improvement with clear prioritization.
  • Create high impact executive presentations, decks and reviews.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills across business and technology partners, including senior leadership.
  • Experience with payments systems, networks, regulators or similar
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform at high standards with limited supervision with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple dependencies, get commitments and drive escalations. 
  • Financial services, cross border, and retail banking background is a plus.
  • Exercise sound judgment; act with integrity; protect our company, clients and customers.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Payments domain expertise, including real-time payments and cross-border remittances
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments and navigating organizational complexity 
  • MBA/Graduate degree strongly preferred
