JPMorgan Chase is Hiring a Strategy Support-Sponsorships & Events, Innovation Economy Sr. Associate Near San Francisco, CA

Join us as the Strategy Support-Sponsorships & Events, Innovation Economy, Sr. Associate - where you will have the opportunity to help manage, support and activate complex events and strategic partnerships in support of the Commercial Bank's Innovation Economy team - maximizing business value for all involved. 

In this role, you will report to the Head of Innovation Economy Events & Sponsorships, where you will spend each day supportingSponsorships & Events Strategy Managers andpartnering with teamsacross multiple business groups to execute strategic sponsorship and event marketing programs. You will focus on delivering meaningful brand awareness and strategic client/prospect engagement. In addition, you will execute multiple, concurrent sponsorships and events that enhance business growth.

Job responsibilities:

  • Support the development of agendas for event activations and third-party sponsorship contracts with trade associations, industry conferences, accelerators and incubators. Project manage marketing, social media/digital and communications deliverables with cross functional partners. Track legal and compliance approvals; support sponsorship / event vendor relationships.
  • Support pre-event/sponsorship responsibilities, including organizing planning committee materials and notes; build/manage detailed project plans; support development of host/banker and speaker briefing templates; project manage design and email team deliverables team to build event collateral and invitations. Assist with post-event/sponsorship responsibilities, including: organizing materials for debrief calls with partner organizations and the business organizing data to analyze programs for effectiveness/ROI in partnership with the business and marketing centers of excellence (digital, communications, etc.).
  • Track and oversee data inputs to track detailed budgets with ongoing monitoring and reporting. For each program, work closely with VP colleagues and production partners to manage budgets; secure and document required approvals; track spend and document variances; and process invoices.
  • Organize data and support the development of scorecards for each program.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 4 years work experience in marketing/communications, events or sponsorships. Requires travel (25-30% of time) and off-hours projects. 
  • Excellent project management, time management skills and organizational skills; 
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated track record of thriving in fast-paced, matrixed environment with minimal supervision. Team player that is self-motivated, entrepreneurial, effective under pressure and flexible (able to adapt to changing priorities). Excellent relationship management skills - ability to influence and interact with senior executives and business leaders. 
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal required, including the ability to translate data-driven insights and measurement into actionable next steps. 
  • Strong desire to creatively problem solve; proven ability to navigate/analyze complex data.
  • Proven ability to operate with a sense of personal accountability; strong work ethic; self-starter; high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Excellent/advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Financial service/Commercial banking or management consulting experience; working in a large global organization
  • Experience managing event and sponsorships for founders, investors, startups and high-growth companies
  • Marketing, Brand, Sales Support, Communications, Public Relations
