As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial Bank Technology Production Engineering / Metrics and Reporting team, you will be involved in the data strategy and drive our analytic agenda. You will work closely with data stewards, product owners, data scientists in designing data structures and deliver data solutions in a secure, stable and scalable way. You will also help Reporting team in some development work of the visualizations and helping in promoting UI and UX standardization across all visualizations.

Job responsibilities

• Design & develop data pipelines end to end using Data staging tools like Alteryx or similar
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
• Designs and delivers trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics data platform solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way
• Working with internal stakeholders to understand data and process requirements and deliver data services in a timely manner
• Review data modeling of other data engineers and technologists on data governance and management practices
• Help define database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategy 
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
• Experience using Alteryx or similar ETL tools like Tableau prep and others
• Development experience of building Web Apps with strong knowledge of Javascript, HTML, API and REST services
• Strong experience in working with large enterprise data warehouse.
• Strong experience in data transformation, dimensional data modeling and ETL on large data sets
• Strong experience in Data Reconciliation, Data Lineage
• Advanced Database SQL Experience and data transformation tools in mandatory
• Experience in working closely with data management tools to support the reporting, analytics business requirements and initiatives
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Hands on experience using Business Intelligence (BI) development tools like Tableau, Qlikview
• Knowledge in Data science, ML/AI application life cycle
